– In order to minimize the carbon footprint due to travels, the most part of the work was done by local companies (within a radius of 10 miles)
– Insulation contains 100% of natural woodwhool
– The solid parquet oak floor comes from french SouthWest sustainble forests
– The Conservatory was made with french materials in the Pas-deCalais region
– Several ‘light well’ have been created to beneficiate natural brightness
Twin windows in the rooms make the brightness longer
– Light bulb are LED ones (4,5 watt) or low-energy bulb
– Beds and mattressses have been conceived and created in La Bassée (4 miles from the guesthouse)
– Beds sheets in percale have been woven, dyed and assembled in Cambrai
– Pillows and duvet are from Rouen (Normandie)
